Get to Know Michael DiRezze, DDS

Dr. DiRezze has been proudly serving patients at Grosse Pointe Dentistry and Implants for his entire career, and he brings several years of experience to the practice. He enjoys getting to know each of his patients by having meaningful conversations, and he always takes the time to listen to their concerns, learn about their lives, families, and interests, and know what brings them joy. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. DiRezze always envisioned himself in the healthcare field. As he navigated through each of his options, he found that dentistry was best suited to him, as he enjoys problem-solving and working with his hands to bring his ideas to life!

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. DiRezze attended the University of Detroit Mercy for his undergraduate studies as well as the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. While he loves practicing general dentistry, he has a strong passion for implant dentistry and clear aligner orthodontics. He has completed training in implant dentistry through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry as well as training in clear aligner treatment through the American Academy of Clear Aligners.

To date, Dr. DiRezze has completed over 300 hours of continuing education and training, and he plans to continue his education to be able to bring the best clinical treatment to his patients. He remains a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Michigan Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the American Academy of Clear Aligners.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. DiRezze is proud to be from Grosse Pointe, Michigan, where his wife, Jennifer, and their two beautiful children live. He is incredibly grateful to have such a good relationship with his wife’s family and is proud to be able to work alongside her father and mother in the practice.

Whenever Dr. DiRezze isn’t at the office, he enjoys spending time traveling with his family and golfing. He also has a strong passion for cars and has worked on many himself. Growing up, he was always tinkering with them, and over the years he has learned a lot about cars because of that—everything from basic maintenance and modifications to extensive engine work.
